Job summary

Curaleaf, a global cannabis company, seeks a hands‑on Director of Technical Accounting in Stamford, CT. You will lead evaluation, documentation, and application of complex U.S.

GAAP guidance and significant transactions, including M&A and purchase accounting. You will partner with Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Corporate Development, prepare technical memoranda, support external audits, maintain SOX controls, and help implement new accounting standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license.
• 7+ years in accounting, including public or technical accounting.
• M&A transaction experience and knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, evaluation, and documentation of complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memoranda documenting guidance and judgments.
• Lead accounting for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions.
• Partner with Legal, Tax, Treasury, and others to assess accounting implications of significant transactions.
• Review quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes for material accounting matters.
• Serve as technical accounting contact for external auditors and support audits and reviews.
