Job description

As a Director of Technical Accounting, you will be at the forefront of our financial operations, driving the company's financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for the oversight of all accounting functions and will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and success of our engineering firm. Responsibilities :

• Oversee all aspects of technical accounting including monthly reporting, fixed assets, year-end close, and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with SEC regulations including 10-Q, 10-K, and 10K report filings.
• Collaborate with top-tier accounting firms such as Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Deloitte on audit matters and advisory services.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Lead the accounting team in the execution of daily operations, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of our financial data.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to various stakeholders within the organization.
• Stay updated on emerging accounting standards and regulations, and ensure the company's accounting policies and procedures are in line with these standards.
• Participate in strategic financial projects including financial system implementations, process improvements, and policy development.

Qualifications :

• Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar role with a CPA required.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting standards.
• Experience with year-end close, monthly reporting, and fixed assets.
• Proven track record in auditing and maintaining internal controls.
• Prior experience working with or for top-tier accounting firms such as Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Deloitte.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in financial reporting software and MS Office Suite.
