Qualifications

How you can make a difference

With general direction and considerable latitude for independent judgment and discretion, this position leads all aspects of the technical accounting team and all SEC reporting functions. This role will be a key member of the Finance team.

What you’ll be doing (Job Duties & Responsibilities)
  • Coordinate the preparation of accounting policy setting and review
  • Supervise new accounting standards and their accounting and disclosure impact
  • Draft and review technical accounting whitepapers for significant contracts and transactions of and clear technical issues with external auditor
  • Provide tailored trainings on relevant accounting rules across the organization
  • Support Corporate Development team with M&A accounting and due diligence
  • Assist with the quarterly SEC reporting calendar
  • Preparation and tie out of 10-K, 10-Q’s, 8-K’s, S-8, and other SEC filings
  • Lead versions, Review XBRL and filing via the Workiva tool
  • Maintain adequate documentation for all filings
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Key partner in annual proxy preparation, including support of annual report and shareholder meeting
  • Assist with annual audits and quarterly reviews with internal and external (PwC) auditors
  • Maintain systems, policies, procedures and controls (Sarbanes-Oxley)
  • Embrace process and compliance responsibilities, showing good judgement, personal integrity and ethics, and fostering these qualities in others
  • Foster a responsive, customer experience focused work ethic within the finance organization, supporting disparate groups within the Company to achieve common goals
  • Have high appreciation for the business model with the ability to pitch the business internally and externally

What you will need to be successful (Skills, Knowledge, & Experience)

  • High School Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Master's degree and CPA license required.
  • Knowledge of accounting or a closely related field
  • The ability and skill to lead accounting operations
  • 7+ years experience in public accounting, with specific experience in financial close and reporting
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations is also required

This is a remote position.

Salary Range

$119500.00 To $191000.00 / year

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position will be eligible for performance-based incentives and restricted stock units as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits including:
