The UCLA Library seeks a highly collaborative leader to serve as head of Teaching and Learning Services (TLS). The director will oversee programs including information literacy instruction, core research assistance services, instructional design and assessment, and student engagement.

TLS guides pedagogy and partnerships across campus. The successful candidate will manage ~18 librarians and staff, lead service strategy, and shape future teaching and learning programs in a dynamic university

Responsabilidades

• Develop and lead service strategy for Teaching and Learning Services, including information literacy and research help services, instructional design and assessment.
• Collaborate with Library colleagues to align teaching and learning services with other departments such as Special Collections and the Film and Television Archive.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with campus partners to support Library goals and priorities.
• Oversee unit budgets and resource allocation in line with UCLA Library guidelines.
• Oversee recruitment, coaching, and performance management of ~18 librarians and staff, and support supervisors in their responsibilities.
• Collaborate on space-related upgrades to support services and programming priorities.
• Collaborate to ensure collections support evolving teaching and research needs.
• Work with leadership to align staffing and service models with Library goals.
• Serve as an active member of the Library’s Management Council.
