Job summary

UCLA Library seeks a highly collaborative leader to serve as unit head for Teaching and Learning Services (TLS). You will oversee programs in information literacy instruction, research help services, instructional design, and student engagement, guiding a team of librarians and staff.

As a senior leader, you will shape teaching and learning strategies, collaborate with campus partners, and steward budgets and personnel to advance inclusive, evidence-based pedagogy across UCLA’s academic mission.

Qualifications

• Professional degree from an ALA-accredited library and information science graduate program.
• Experience leading librarians and staff; supervision and mentorship.
• Ability to collaborate across library divisions and campus partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead service strategy for Teaching and Learning Services, including information literacy and research help services.
• Collaborate with Library colleagues to align teaching and learning services with other departments.
• Oversee recruitment, coaching, mentorship, performance management, and retention of ~18 librarians and staff.
