Job summary

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) seeks a strategic Director of Talent Management to drive a comprehensive talent strategy, building programs for employee development, leadership capability, engagement, and succession planning. Reporting to the Chief Human Resource Officer, the role partners with leaders to create strong pipelines and a culture of growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field required.
Ten years of progressive experience in talent management, learning and development, organizational development, or a related HR function, including at least five years in a supervisory role, required
Five years of recruiting and onboarding experience required.
Relevant certifications, such as CPTD or CPTM, preferred.
Experience designing and implementing learning, employee development, and talent programs that foster engagement, improve retention, and drive individual and organizational performance.
Experience with learning management systems, recruiting strategies, and employee engagement practices.
Experience with LinkedIn Learning preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead NCSBN’s learning and development strategy, including building the Professional Growth Program (PGP) design and content.
Design and manage career development programs that promote professional growth.
Design employee experience initiatives that enhance engagement, belonging, and retention.
Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent programs and use data to drive continuous improvement.
Develop and support recruiting and onboarding strategies and experiences that strengthen the organization’s ability to attract and retain top talent.
Oversee implementation of a learning management system (LMS), including system strategy, administration, content management, and continuous improvement.
Partner with leaders to develop succession planning strategies and build organizational talent pipelines.
