Job summary

University of Texas at Austin seeks a Director, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Development to lead UT Dell Medical School's recruitment and workforce initiatives. The role oversees executive and staff talent strategies and analytics, ensuring alignment with the medical school’s mission in Austin.

The position requires a Master’s degree and 10+ years HR leadership in academic health settings, with strong data, governance, and collaboration skills. Exempt, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Education, Public Health or related field.
• 10 years progressive professional level Human Resources experience with focus on workforce development, preferably in an academic medical center setting.
• Demonstrated leadership and process improvement skills in complex environments.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and strategic and critical systems thinking; ability to make sound decisions independently; action and solutions oriented.
• Demonstrated analytical, forecasting, and project management skills to turn data into insights and action plans aligned with strategic priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Talent Acquisition Leadership: Develops strategies, selection/tracking systems, dashboards, and processes related to the acquisition and development of administrative and staff talent for Dell Med.
• Supports the development of and maintains a comprehensive workforce development plan that identifies partnerships to attract, develop, and retain a viable workforce; trains individuals to meet the demands of an evolving healthcare environment; and maximizes the potential of future and current staff.
• Directs the day-to-day operational, financial, and talent management activities for assigned areas, ensuring high quality, cost-effective services and outcomes, and a safe and productive work environment.
• Ensures systems and processes are aligned to the Dell Med strategic plan and produce a qualified pipeline of candidates to fulfill the Dell Med mission.
