Job summary

Moonshot is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead the recruiting function across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership. The role owns the TA system from workforce planning through onboarding, reporting to the CHRO, and building a team capable of supporting several hundred hires.

This builder role requires balancing strategic leadership with hands-on recruiting while developing scalable processes, metrics, and partnerships with business leaders to sustain growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience including leadership in high-growth environments.
• Proven track record building or scaling an internal Talent Acquisition function with processes, systems, metrics, and operating rhythms.
• Strong experience recruiting engineering and technical talent across mechanical, electrical, controls, power infrastructure, software, AI; manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
• Experience managing significant hiring volume while also leading specialized, leadership, and executive searches and building proactive pipelines.
• Strong executive partnership across workforce planning, recruiting strategy, hiring priorities, and accountability.
• Experience implementing, migrating, or improving ATS and recruiting technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale Moonshot’s Talent Acquisition function and develop the team to support growth across functions.
• Own recruiting strategy across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership while remaining hands-on for executive searches.
• Partner with executives to translate business plans into actionable hiring plans and priorities.
• Build proactive sourcing strategies and repeatable talent pipelines for critical roles.
• Establish scalable recruiting processes and operating rhythms across intake, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.
• Improve systems, automation, and data quality; define meaningful recruiting metrics.
