Job summary

STACK Infrastructure in the Americas is seeking a Director of Sustainability within the Innovation & Engineering organization. The role translates corporate sustainability commitments into actionable design and construction standards and leads project-by-project implementation.

The position partners with global Net Zero efforts, drives decarbonization across data center design and equipment, and coordinates with internal teams and external partners to achieve auditable, scalable results.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in real estate sustainability, architecture, engineering or construction.
• Experience reading and developing architectural design documents, CSI master specification format.
• Experience creating and implementing sustainable design standards across a real estate portfolio.
• Experience with supply chain decarbonization best practices.
• Strong program/project management skills.
• Ability to communicate sustainability concepts to senior executives for budget approvals.

Responsibilities

• Embed sustainability requirements into design and construction workflows and specifications.
• Lead implementation of STACK and tenant sustainable design standards on active projects.
• Track costs of sustainable design implementations to guide decarbonization decisions.
• Own end-to-end Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) workflow across projects and ensure quality control.
• Translate LCA results into actionable insights for project teams and leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with Net Zero targets.
