Job summary

IPS Corporation seeks a Director of Supply Chain in Collierville, TN to drive production planning, purchasing, PPV, and forecasting to optimize cost and service. The role focuses on inventory movement, storage, and process optimization to support on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in manufacturing supply chain, with strong analytical skills and budget experience. Collaboration with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Manufacturing Management or other related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing supply chain management position.
• Six Sigma Black preferred.
• Experience with an operating budget; collaboration with purchasing and logistics.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand and create supply plans for on-time delivery.
• Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes affecting supply chain activities.
• Define performance metrics for measurement of supply chain factors such as cost or quality.
• Analyze inventories to increase turns and reduce waste while maintaining service levels.
• Develop procedures coordinating supply chain management with sales, marketing, finance, production, or QA.
• Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics and forecasts or changes.
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes and systems.
• Lead and motivate the supply chain team through effective performance management.
