Job summary

Building Plastics, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Supply Chain Buyer to manage the supply of goods and strengthen the end-to-end process.

You will coordinate PO placement, inventory transfers, and vendor interactions to ensure accurate, on-time delivery across multiple domestic and international suppliers. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of planning or purchasing experience, with strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or business with 3+ years of planning/purchasing experience.
• Analytical, quantitative, organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to multi-task and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP system functionality.

Responsibilities

• Manage finished goods supply from domestic and international vendors with timely POs and transfers.
• Partner with Product Managers for end-to-end supply chain management of strategic vendors.
• Understand vendor capacity and optimize order cycles and replenishment strategies.
• Use demand history to create POs that support turns, on-hand, and inventory targets.
• Maintain master data and vendor records; develop ad-hoc ERP reports.
• Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve delays and align purchasing with inventory strategy.
