Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Texas seeks an experienced Director of Subcontracts to lead and scale our supplier subcontracting function across commercial and government programs. You will own strategy, governance, and execution of complex procurement instruments, partnering with Legal, Finance, and Program Management.

This executive role requires deep FAR/DFARS flowdown knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of building high-performing teams in aerospace. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Law, Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive supplier subcontract, procurement, or complex contract management experience.
• Deep expertise in commercial supplier subcontracting with FAR/DFARS flowdown knowledge.
• Proven track record negotiating complex, high-value supplier agreements and subcontracts.
• Strong IP, data rights, export controls, and risk allocation knowledge.
• Exceptional negotiation and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and set enterprise subcontracts strategy aligning with growth objectives, program milestones, and financial targets.
• Build, structure, and scale the subcontracts organization with defined roles and levels.
• Establish governance framework, including delegation-of-authority thresholds and approval workflows.
• Serve as senior executive advisor on all subcontract matters to VP of Supply Chain and other executives.
• Define and report on KPIs, cycle-time targets, savings goals, and risk metrics.
• Lead high-value negotiations and develop scalable sourcing initiatives across commercial and government programs.
