Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing and supplier relationships within Operations. You will drive end-to-end procurement, negotiate long-term agreements, and ensure on-time materials delivery while maintaining compliance with FAR/DFAR/ITAR/EAR.

The role requires strong analytical capability, excellent communication, and a track record of implementing scalable procurement processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master's with 4 years in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Interpret and apply company policies, FAR/DFAR/ITAR/EAR requirements and government regulations.
• Ensure timely and effective completion of supply chain projects and initiatives.
• Maintain compliant and accurate files and data records.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven approach to metrics.
• Create and maintain systems to streamline operations.
• Excellent people skills and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with AS9100 standards and engineering data.
• Ability to identify opportunities, execute plans, and evaluate results quickly.
• Highly analytical, with a track record of solving problems end-to-end.
• Able to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload.
• Experience working in ambiguous environments and standardizing scalable processes.
• Proficiency with ERP, MS Office, and data analytics systems; able to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize program requirements and ensure alignment with Blue Origin procurement standards.
• Lead negotiation of strategic agreements, LTAs, and supplier partnerships.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement from requisition to payment and issue resolution.
• Develop, implement, and monitor procurement processes to improve efficiency and cost.
• Manage supplier relationships and cost analyses for proposals.
