Job summary

Chartwells K-12, a Compass Group USA company, seeks a dynamic Director of Dining Services for KIPP San Antonio, TX, to lead a student nutrition program serving about 2,000 students across five schools on two campuses.

The role requires strong client relations, partnerships with school leadership, and proven food service management; bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply. The Director will manage a 15–20 person team and drive signature programs and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Management, Hospitality, Culinary, or Nutrition preferred; additional food service management experience
• Three or more years of food service management experience
• K-12 dining experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Financial acumen with strong business intuition
• Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful

Responsibilities

• Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
• Mantains excellent relationships with the client
• Works with the team to create nutritious, high-quality food for students
• Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
• Acts as a liaison between Chartwells, the client, and the community
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the dining services operation
