Chartwells K-12, a division of Compass Group USA, seeks a dynamic Director of Dining Services to oversee nutrition programs for Wiseburn USD and Da Vinci Schools across 10 campuses. The role manages ~5,100 students, a unionized team of ~30 staff and an Executive Chef, focusing on operations, financial performance, client relations, and catering oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Services Technology/Management/Hospitality preferred or equivalent experience.
• Five plus years of foodservice management experience.
• Strong knowledge of high-volume food production and catering trends.
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a unionized team across multiple sites.
• Own the annual budget and control costs.
• Oversee quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Build relationships with clients, customers, and associates.
• Drive catering services and special events to high service levels.
