Job summary

Saint Leo University seeks a Director of Student Engagement and Leadership to lead programs that foster student involvement, belonging, and campus life. You will oversee student organizations, orientation, family engagement, and leadership initiatives, collaborating with university partners to support student development and success.

The role requires strong leadership, budget management, and the ability to supervise staff, with evenings/weekends as needed across a busy campus environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education administration, education, or a related field required.
• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in student affairs or a related area preferred.
• Experience supervising staff and developing student programs required.
• Experience advising student organizations, managing budgets, or assessing programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of student engagement, leadership development, and campus programming initiatives.
• Oversee Student Government Union, Campus Activities Board, student organizations, and leadership programs.
• Plan and oversee campus activities, events, and traditions that promote involvement and pride.
• Lead New Student Orientation programs supporting successful transition to the University.
• Develop family engagement programs and communications that support student transition and success.
• Advise student leaders and organizations; provide guidance to faculty and staff advisors.
