Job summary

UEI College in Phoenix seeks a Director of Student Finance to lead the campus Student Financial Services department, ensuring compliant administration of financial aid and timely disbursement of funds. The role requires vision, strong leadership, and the ability to partner with other departments to optimize enrollment and student support while maintaining federal and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or comparable work experience required; Bachelor’s degree with coursework in math, business, finance, auditing or accounting strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a financial aid department with direct responsibility for Title IV activities.
• Experience with work-study, scholarship and campus-based funding programs.
• Experience completing Return to Title IV calculations.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Ability to build productive relationships with all departments involved in the student enrollment process.
• Must be able to obtain Certificate for authorization for Title IV services and not be debarred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides vision and leadership for the campus Student Financial Services Department.
• Directly or indirectly leads 1-5 employees and oversees staff training and development.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State, accreditation and institutional policies.
• Monitors timely disbursement of federal funds and student financial aid packages.
• Advises students on financial aid needs and options with customer-focused service.
• Coordinates reporting and quality control activities for the department.
