Job summary

UEI College is seeking a Director of Student Finance to lead the campus Student Financial Services department. You will provide vision, leadership and direction, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of federal and state aid and compliance with Title IV, accreditation and institutional policies.

The role requires strong management experience, an ability to build cross-department relationships, and a track record of optimizing aid processes and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or comparable work experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in math, business, finance, auditing or accounting strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience working in a financial aid department of an accredited college or university with direct responsibility for advising on or awarding Title IV activities or programs.
• Knowledge of Federal & State loan and grant programs; Experience with work-study, scholarship & campus based funding programs.
• Experience completing Return to Title IV calculations
• 3+ years of management experience
• Ability to build productive relationships with all departments involved in the student enrolment process.
• Accounting background preferred

Responsibilities

• Directly or indirectly leads 1-5 employees in the Student Financial Services Department.
• Complies with all Federal, State, accreditation and institutional policies and procedures.
• Directs timely disbursement of federal funds to students according to regulations.
• Advises students in financial aid needs/options and answers questions with students/parents.
• Coordinates training of staff and oversees reporting and department quality control.
