Job summary

UNC Finance and Operations seeks Community Directors to lead and coordinate residential communities housing 400-1000 undergraduates at the University. You will serve as the lead educator for students and manage facilities operations, budget, student conduct, and crisis response.

You will supervise 20-50 student staff, advise a community government, and collaborate with faculty to connect housing to academic programs. Availability for non-traditional hours during peak times is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising 20–50 student staff.
• Strong supervisory, administrative, communication, and counseling skills.
• Ability to coordinate budgets, facilities operations, and crisis management.

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties, budgeting, record-keeping and timely responses to information requests.
• Serve as primary resource and point-of-contact for residents; manage crises and conduct situations.
• Oversee conferences, camps, and Summer School projects during May–August.
• Coordinate learning opportunities and advise community governments and residential learning programs.
