Job summary

The Citadel in Charleston, SC seeks a qualified leader to run the day-to-day operations of the Student-Athlete Services Division within the Student Success Center. You will coordinate academic counseling, advise and register student-athletes, and monitor degree progress and NCAA eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and progressive experience providing academic services to college-athletes.
• Extensive knowledge of college-athlete characteristics and academic support.
• Knowledge of NCAA regulations governing student-athletes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailed tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills across coaches, students, faculty, staff and alumni.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Student-Athlete Services Division of the Student Success Center.
• Coordinate all academic counseling, including advising and registration for student-athletes.
• Monitor degree progress, APR, and NCAA eligibility; provide annual reports to the Director.
• Evaluate and assess services provided by the Student-Athlete Services Division.
• Serve as liaison with faculty, administration, coaches on student-athlete academics.
• Assist the Director with personnel matters and supervise staff in the division.
• Participate in Student Success Center management meetings and assume additional duties.
• Assist Athletics Compliance and Registrar on progress, transcripts, certification, and NCAA monitoring.
