Job summary

Ashland University seeks a Director of Student Activities to lead engagement initiatives across campus, fostering belonging and personal growth for students. The role partners with the Office of Student & Residence Life and oversees CAB, student organizations, and campus events.

Responsibilities include budget oversight, Engage Ashland management, orientation support, and representation at the NACA conference, with evening/weekend commitments as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with at least two years of full-time, professional experience in a college setting.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to build positive rapport with students and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be a Mandatory Title IX reporter and able to work evenings and weekends.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate campus-wide events such as the Involvement Fair, Welcome Tent, Week of Welcome, Homecoming, and Springfest.
• Advise the Campus Activities Board and supervise contract negotiation and program evaluation.
• Advise the Technical Productions Crew and manage ABCC funding.
• Serve as liaison for 100+ student organizations and maintain Engage Ashland.
• Plan orientation initiatives and lead annual Leadership & Service awards.
• Attend annual NACA conference with a student delegation.
