Job summary

Marymount University in Arlington, VA seeks a Director of Student Access Services to provide strategic leadership and oversight of disability access and accommodations, ensuring compliance with ADA, ADAAA, and Section 504. This role partners with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, HR, and General Counsel to advance access and student success.

The successful candidate will supervise professional staff, develop policies, evaluate services, and drive continuous quality improvement while promoting

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Higher Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Education, Social Work, Disability Studies, or closely related discipline.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in disability services, accessibility, or accommodations within higher education.
• Experience interpreting disability documentation and determining reasonable accommodations.
• Experience supervising professional staff and managing departmental budget and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for Student Access Services.
• Collaborate with the Vice Provost, Academic Affairs to set goals and operational plans.
• Develop and evaluate policies and service-delivery models that promote accessibility and student success.
• Lead assessment and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise staff and coordinate cross-divisional collaboration to remove barriers to access.
