Job summary

Jqolusa is seeking a Director of Structural Engineering in Savannah, GA. The role leads the Engineering Department, delivering complex structural projects with strategic oversight, financial accountability, and business development.

A PE licensed in Georgia is essential, with 12+ years of engineering experience and 5+ years in leadership. The position emphasizes mentoring staff, client engagement, and cross-disciplinary coordination to ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required (Georgia).
• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• 5+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the development and improvement of technical processes and standards.
• Overall project management success on all design projects for team (QAQC and teaming management to ensure on time delivery and quality).
• Staff development and progression (employee reviews and mentorship).
• Timesheet review and approval.
• Track and manage employee workload and utilization with Technical Director.
• Work with Technical Director for accurate reporting on projections and project proposals.
• Manage design projects by leading a design team.
