Job summary

Share Our Spare in Chicago (Hybrid) is seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead the development and management of strategic partnerships and programs that align with the organization’s mission.

The ideal candidate has 5 years in nonprofit programs or partnerships, with 3 years leading teams, and a track record in coalition building, program development, and stakeholder engagement. A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred, with urban nonprofit experience valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program, partnership, or operations experience in a nonprofit setting.
• At least 3 years of experience leading and developing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working in urban nonprofit settings; logistics/warehouse experience a plus.
• Knowledge of HR administration and budgeting.
• Strong organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with CRM/PM tools (Odoo, Neon, Asana) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen partnerships and manage MOUs and partner records.
• Develop short- and long-term program goals and strategies to support growth.
• Coordinate partner meetings, events, distribution days, and grant-related activities with internal teams.
• Lead the Programs team and supervise staff, coaching and development.
• Oversee operations budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships in collaboration with Operations.
• Represent Share Our Spare in coalitions and external partnerships to expand impact.
