Job summary

ICON is seeking a Director of Business Development to architect expansion across Dallas–Fort Worth. This role leads strategic market positioning, executive relationship building, and end-to-end deal ownership from visioning to contract.

The position requires 10+ years in BD/Real Estate Development, deep DFW market knowledge, and MBA or MRED preferred, with AI proficiency to drive fast-paced deal workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of high-performance experience in Business Development or Real Estate Development.
• Experience in Design-Build, General Contractor or real estate developer environments.
• Deep understanding of Dallas–Fort Worth real estate fundamentals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Real Estate, Construction Management or related. MBA or MRED preferred.
• Proficient in leveraging AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the deal lifecycle from initial visioning sessions through to a signed contract.
• Lead market positioning and the regional Go/No-Go process against ICON’s capabilities.
• Develop and manage executive pipelines with top developers, private equity investors, and leading architects/engineers.
• Navigate permitting hurdles and AHJ coordination as a regulatory diplomat for robotic construction.
• Collaborate with Marketing to differentiate ICON from traditional GCs and showcase capabilities.
