Job summary

Denton County MHMR Center is seeking a Development Director to lead the organization’s fundraising strategy, development plans, and donor engagement. You will oversee grants across federal, state, local, and foundation channels, cultivate donors, and partner with executive leadership to align funding with the Center’s mission and programs.

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong strategic analytical thinking and planning to drive growth.
• Proven grant management experience across federal/state/local funding.
• Demonstrated success in donor cultivation and fundraising.
• Experience in behavioral health nonprofit settings preferred.
• Knowledge of TAC HHSC and PIIA guidelines is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual development plan aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee grants, donor campaigns, foundations, and partnerships.
• Supervise Grant Specialist, Marketing Specialist, and Fundraiser Coordinator.
• Develop communications for donors and funders.
• Represent the organization at events and community engagements.
• Provide regular development reports to ED and Board.
