Job summary

The JCC of Greater Pittsburgh seeks a Director of Staff and Community Engagement based in Pittsburgh. This role oversees staffing, program logistics, partnerships, and rental growth, ensuring year-round Camp EKC operations run smoothly while fostering Jewish community connections.

The position also guides staff engagement, onboarding, and cross-functional collaboration, with oversight of technology systems and non-summer programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in camping services, operations, or a related field.
• Experience with onboarding, compliance, and staff development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and staff retention for seasonal and rental staff.
• Develop sustainable staff engagement strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee program logistics, facilities, and transportation planning.
• Manage rental partnerships, non-summer programming, and travel coordination.
• Support technology needs, CampMinder, and camp communications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, education, recreation, hospitality, Jewish studies, social work or a related field
