Northern York County School District invites applications for the Director of Special Education. This exempt, 260-day Act 93 role leads district-wide special education programs and ensures compliance with federal and state laws while serving as a liaison among staff, students, parents, and the community.

The position reports to the Superintendent and oversees essential functions, professional development, budget, and program evaluation to promote student success across district schools.

Qualificações

• Master's Degree required.
• PA Supervisor of Special Education Certification or Principal's Certification or Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility.
• Minimum of five (5) years administrative experiences in a multi-state public educational setting.
• Successful administrative experience in special education preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead district in special education programming and student success.
• Develop and maintain programs for diverse learners to ensure a free and appropriate public education.
• Oversee and evaluate the special education program; recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with administrators and staff on service delivery models for district needs.
• Supervise state and federal reporting for all special education programs.
• Collaborate with Superintendent and district leaders on policy matters and program evaluation.
