Job summary

OneMagnify in Detroit is seeking a Director of Engineering for Solution Architecture to lead architectural vision for client-facing solutions. This role balances delivery oversight with strategic architecture development.

You will mentor the architecture team, define governance, and collaborate with Delivery Leadership, Data Engineering, Product, DevOps and Security to translate business needs into scalable, secure architectures.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in technology with at least 5+ years in architecture leadership or senior roles.
• Deep expertise in solution architecture, cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), and modern patterns (microservices, event-driven, API design).
• Proven track record delivering complex, scalable client-facing solutions.
• Strong understanding of application and data platform architecture domains.
• Excellent communication and executive-level engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic-level technical point of contact for strategic client accounts and lead advisory services.
• Define and evolve architectural standards, principles, and governance across the organization.
• Oversee design of complex, scalable architectures for client solutions across application and data domains.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the architecture team; conduct performance and career development reviews.
• Collaborate with Delivery, Data Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Security to align solutions with business goals.
• Ensure architectural governance, design reviews, and compliance with security and standards.
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and patterns for client engagements.
