Job summary

Flintco is seeking a Director of Solar Design & Engineering to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering utility-scale PV and battery energy storage projects. The role guides design strategy, interconnection coordination, and cross-functional collaboration within an EPC or utility-scale environment, with a focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.

This hybrid, full-time position requires extensive leadership, strong engineering background in electrical, mechanical, or civil disciplines,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Extensive experience managing and directing a team.
• Experience with utility-scale PV design and interconnection processes.
• Proficiency with Helioscope, PV Syst, AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality projects through collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with design vendors to meet functional, performance, safety and cost requirements.
• Schedule sub-contractors and manage design milestones and approvals.
• Review drawings and specifications during permitting, interconnection, and construction.
