Job summary

The Director of Child, Family, and Adult Services at a major county Consolidated Health and Human Services Agency leads a large department responsible for social services, public assistance, and protective programs. • Develop departmental operational and strategic plans, goals and objectives for approval by governing board.
• Establish and maintain performance measures to evaluate departmental effectiveness.
• Assess performance against metrics and implement corrective actions; develop and adjust annual budget; monitor financial performance and approve expenditures.
• Identify public and private grant opportunities; partner with the community to prepare grant proposals and oversee grant performance.
• Establish collaborative relationships with nonprofit human services organizations; set program goals; approve policies; conduct program reviews; ensure compliance with federal, state and local statutes, regulations and policy requirements.
