Job summary

Norway Center for Health & Rehabilitation, affiliated with National Health Care Associates, Inc., seeks a Director of Social Services to lead the Social Services Department and ensure the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of residents.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop programs, advocate for residents' rights, and coordinate discharge planning, in a full-time role with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• LSW or LCSW licensure preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years in social services.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role in a long-term care setting.
• Strong understanding of aging and psychosocial needs.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive social services programs for residents.
• Provide social services with high-quality, person-centered care.

What You'll Do:

* 40 hours Full-time / Salary role / $66,560 - $70,720 annually ($32 - $34 an hour)

As a Director of Social Services, you will lead our Social Services Department and the programs within it. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities of a Director of Social Services:

• Develop and implement comprehensive social services programs that address the diverse needs of our residents
• Provide Social Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans that enhance the overall well-being of residents
• Act as a liaison between residents, families, and community resources to support a seamless transition into our facility and assist with discharge planning
• Advocate for residents' rights, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and maintaining their dignity and independence

Rate of Pay

USD $66,560.00 - USD $70,720.00 /Yr.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications of a Director of Social Services:

• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred
• Minimum of 4 years in social services, with at least 2 of those years in a leadership role in a long-term care setting
• Strong understanding of the aging process, psychosocial needs of the elderly, and the impact of chronic illness
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and build positive relationships with residents and their families
