Job summary

Norway Center for Health & Rehabilitation, located in Norway, Maine, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping and/or laundry team. You will hire, train, and schedule staff, uphold cleanliness standards, and ensure a safe and healing environment for residents.

You will work Monday–Friday with some weekend/holiday coverage, earning USD 47,000–50,000 annually plus holiday pay and full benefits. Joining National Health Care Associates family offers growth and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in institutional housekeeping and laundry services.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care is valued but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and lead housekeeping and/or laundry team.
• Develop and maintain department schedule to ensure adequate staffing.
• Performs periodic inspections of the building and grounds to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other staff to address resident needs and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Ensure all facility policies and procedures are followed and updated as needed.
• Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies.

Rate of Pay

USD $47,000.00 - USD $50,000.00 /Yr.

What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications of a Housekeeping Supervisor include:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in institutional housekeeping and laundry services
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
