National Health Care Associates, Inc. invites you to join the Norway Center for Health & Rehabilitation as a Housekeeping Supervisor in Norway, Maine. Monday through Friday with occasional weekend/holiday coverage; salary $47,000–$50,000 per year, with holiday pay and full benefits.

You will lead housekeeping and laundry teams, schedule staffing, supervise cleanliness, ensure safety, and collaborate with staff to maintain a healing environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in institutional housekeeping and laundry services.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control and safety; training provided.
• Compassionate and empathetic by nature.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and lead housekeeping and/or laundry team.
• Develop and maintain department schedule to ensure adequate staffing.
• Performs periodic inspections of the building and grounds to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other staff members to address resident needs and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Ensures all facility policies and procedures are followed and updated as needed.
• Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies.

What You’ll Do:

• Monday - Friday with some expectationsfor weekend and Holiday coverage

What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications of a Housekeeping Supervisor include:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in institutional housekeeping and laundry services
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
