Job summary

Laurel Health Care Company is seeking a licensed social worker to serve as Director of Social Services in Middletown, Ohio. You will oversee medically-related social services to support residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities include supervising Social Workers, guiding staff on residency advocacy and residents' rights, plus hiring, training, and scheduling. A Bachelor's degree in Social Work and current state licensure are required; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work required; Master's preferred.
• Current Social Work license in the state
• One year supervised social work experience in a health care setting.
• Must have current covid 19 vaccination

Responsibilities

• The Director of Social Services supervises the Social Workers, if applicable and guides facility staff in matters of residency advocacy, protection and promotion of resident’s rights.
• Interviews, hires and trains Social Workers; plans, assigns and directs work; prepares work assignment sheets; uses independent judgement and discretion on behalf of the organization.

R esponsibilities:

The Director of Social Services supervises the S ocial Workers, if applicable and guides facility staff in matters of residency advocacy, protection and promotion of resident’s rights.

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Supervisory responsibilities include:

• Uses independent judgment and discretion on behalf of the organization in the performance of these duties.

Qualificati ons:

Must have current covid 19 vaccination

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Master’s Degree preferred.
• One year supervised social work experience working directly with individuals in a health care setting.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Current Social Work licensein the state
