Job summary

Critical Playground LLC is seeking a Director of Non-Capital Construction to lead all facets of a university non-capital program (<$3M, ≤5,000 SF). You will oversee multiple project delivery teams, manage budgets, schedules, and contracts, and ensure alignment with institutional goals from inception through warranty.

The role requires a strong background in architecture/engineering or construction management, outstanding leadership, and exceptional client service in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture, engineering, or building construction or equivalent experience.
• Extensive project management across design and construction phases.
• Strong knowledge of site/building design and construction processes.
• Proven ability to guide multiple projects toward on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Experience with design services and construction cost negotiation.
• Ability to manage many concurrent major and minor projects.
• Effective leadership and client-service within a diverse environment.
• Ability to interpret complex design/construction documents and administer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the non-capital construction program for projects under $3M and 5,000 SF.
• Direct two or more PM-led delivery teams plus a renovations team.
• Manage contracts, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder coordination.

Education

Degree in architecture, engineering, or building construction

Training and work experience at a level that equates to a degree
