Job summary
Christ Church is seeking a Director of Small Groups to provide strategic leadership across campuses and to recruit, develop, and empower volunteer leaders. You will guide discipleship programs, nurture leader care, and cultivate a thriving Small Groups community.
This role focuses on spiritual formation, leadership development, and implementing ministry systems to grow engagement and connection. A multi-campus environment requires strong communication and project management skills and a mature
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Ministry, Theology, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent ministry leadership experience considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a church or ministry environment.
- Proven success leading, developing, and growing Small Groups/Adult Discipleship ministry.
- Experience recruiting, developing, coaching, and multiplying volunteer leaders.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the Small Groups Ministry across all Christ Church campuses.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and empower Small Group Leaders and volunteers; build leadership pipelines.
- Offer coaching, pastoral support, and accountability to leaders.
- Foster spiritual formation, mentoring, and biblical encouragement of leaders.
- Cultivate a connected, collaborative community of Small Group Leaders.
- Strengthen group health by evaluating engagement and coaching leaders.
- Lead the Small Group Centers with guest experiences and community connection.
- Develop training resources and ongoing leadership development.
- Utilize technology and ministry systems to track effectiveness and growth across campuses.
