Job summary

Xplora Search Group seeks a Director of Shared Services to lead a broad accounting operations organization, overseeing AP, Payroll, Billing and AR, Cash Management and Accounting Services. The role partners with Finance and Operations leaders to drive performance across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will bring a continuous-improvement mindset, develop leaders, and establish KPIs while standardizing, automating, and improving processes. This high-visibility position reports to the CFO.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting operations, business processes, systems, or related area.
• Significant people-management experience, ideally leading through managers.
• Strong foundation in accounting and financial operations.
• Demonstrated success leading process improvement or transformation initiatives.
• Experience developing and implementing KPIs or other performance-management metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a broad finance and accounting operations organization; includes AP, Payroll, Billing and AR, Cash Management and Accounting Services.
• Oversee multiple functional areas across transactional accounting and financial operations.
• Manage through functional leaders and managers, providing direction, coaching, accountability, and organizational development.
• Establish clear performance expectations and KPIs to measure service levels, efficiency, accuracy, and overall team performance.
• Lead initiatives involving process redesign, standardization, automation, and systems improvement.
• Partner with Accounting and Finance leadership to support an effective month-end close and accurate financial reporting.
