IB Abel, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for our Substation Services division.

You will lead the estimating life cycle, develop detailed bids, and provide guidance to junior estimators to ensure accurate, timely submissions. Travel to project sites in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast is expected; you should have extensive cost estimating experience in electrical construction, familiarity with substation practices, and proficiency in Excel, Primavera P6, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cost estimating experience in electrical construction
• Knowledge of substation construction practices and large projects preferred
• 10+ years performing electrical industry estimating
• 5+ years GMP estimating experience
• Design-build estimating experience

Responsabilités

• Lead Estimating Execution & Bid Preparation including reviewing documents and cost inputs
• Manage Bid Administration and document control for RFIs and submittals
• Perform contract and scope reviews with PM teams and stakeholders
• Mentor and develop Associate Estimators; perform peer checks of regional estimates
• Support project handoff and collaboration with PM teams and construction personnel
