Job summary

IB Abel is seeking an Electrical Estimator for the Substation Services division to analyze blueprints, specs, and quotes to prepare comprehensive bid submissions.

Flexible to collaborate across departments, manage RFIs, and support pre-construction planning; travel to project sites and offices as needed. The role demands 5+ years in electric construction estimating and a related degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar preferred.
• Five+ years in electric construction estimating.
• Proficient in MS Office and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents to understand requirements, risks and pricing impacts.
• Perform material take-offs and obtain vendor/subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare bid submissions and input for customer deliverables (schedule, proposals).
• Coordinate with PM team during scope review and project handoff.
