Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Director, Technical Program Management (Security) to lead the delivery of critical cyber security programs within the Security team.

You will drive best practices, innovate processes, and partner with stakeholders to embed security work in roadmaps and deliverables. The ideal candidate is a master communicator across engineers to executives, with a proven track record of managing large, complex programs and delivering data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years (Director, TPM) of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company.
• 5+ years of conducting and leading SaaS product development programs; shown understanding of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.
• Deep understanding of and demonstrated experience in cyber security and risk management practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
• Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and team members.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
• Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.
• Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and accountability of technical program planning and delivery for programs in Identity and Access, Data Security, Network Security, Technical Resilience, Cloud Security and other Security Domains, using demonstrated strong analytical and technical skills.
• Clearly define program requirements and business impacts, then work with engineering teams to develop the 'definition of done' and complete technical work breakdown into executable tasks.
• Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership.
• Develop trusted relationships with key technology, functional leaders and stakeholders to drive focus on the strategic program objectives and optimize program delivery.
• Develop effective program reporting (up to executive level), backing statuses with data and clearly communicate program blockers and risks, with required actions to resolve (path to green).
• Utilize agile methodologies and product development lifecycle to successfully partner with product and engineering organizations.
• Utilize internal tools and agile mindset to create a collaborative environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering on program objectives.
• Provide 'go to' leadership, transparency and visibility to the entire Technology & Products organization.
• Seek to continuously grow by proactively seeking and embracing constructive feedback.
• Understand and streamline end to end process
• Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning.
• Be a thought leader within the organization, someone who can help advance our Product & Technology strategy globally and challenge others in the organization to change.
