Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or security; 10+ years of safety and security experience
• Executive protection experience preferred
• Certifications such as ASIS, IAHSS, IACLEA preferred
• CPR/AED and EMR training preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead security program, risk assessment, and crisis management efforts across the Brookings Institution.
• Manage external security vendor relationships and staffing, ensuring coverage for events and daily operations.
• Coordinate event security planning, VIP protection, and incident response with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and oversee staff training, drills, and security communications.
