Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration seeks a Director for International Safety & Security to lead a 24/7 global program safeguarding researchers, students, and travelers. You will partner with schools and units to provide risk assessments, advise decision-makers, and coordinate with emergency responders and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years’ experience in global security or operations.
• At least 5 years’ experience leading and managing a team, including emergency responders.
• International field experience and a robust network of international contacts and resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead Harvard's IS&S program with 24/7 operations and risk assessments.
• Oversee the IS&S team and budget, mentor staff, and provide training.
• Coordinate emergency response and crisis management across global offices.
• Represent Harvard's interests with government agencies and higher education peers.
