Job summary

Harvard Protection Services is seeking a Security Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight for security operations across a defined portfolio. The role ensures service delivery, client satisfaction, contract compliance, personnel performance, and financial results while leading a high-performance security team.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years in security with at least 4 years in senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in private security, law enforcement, or military service, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
• Knowledge of Fire Life Safety systems is required.
• State‑mandated security officer license required; CPP/PSP a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of security operations, risk management, and access control technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of regional or portfolio-wide security operations.
• Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and performance standards.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and performance management of all site security personnel.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients and represent the company in security matters.
• Conduct regular site audits and inspections for contract compliance and excellence.
