Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent 36 credit hours from an accredited college/university.
• Five years of experience coordinating or administering programs or services related to student support in K-12 education.
• At least two years of experience at local education agency central office or State Agency level.
• Experience administering or monitoring Federal or State Grant Programs.
• Experience working with Charter Schools.
• Experience supervising or leading employees including training and work assignment/review.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight for new and creative educational initiatives in Maryland Public Schools, including the Maryland Public Charter School Program and the SEED School of Maryland.
• Serves as the division's lead for legislative matters, overseeing 45-50 fiscal notes and legislative reports during each session.
• Located at the Nancy S. Grasmick Education Building in Baltimore with a hybrid schedule offering up to 3 telework days per week.
