Job summary

Sampson County Schools in Clinton, North Carolina seeks an Executive Director of Auxiliary Services to lead 17 Plant Operations staff and oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related facilities operations across the district.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with at least eight years of supervisory experience in maintenance or facilities management, and strong budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance capabilities. Immediate start with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight years of supervisory or management experience in complex maintenance, construction management, project management, or related field.
• Equivalency of education and experience may be considered by Superintendent/Board of Education.

Responsibilities

• Manages Plant Operations Department including skilled trades, admin services, and safety programs.
• Develops and administers department budget and coordinates purchases.
• Plans and executes short- and long-range programs for efficient plant operations.
• Oversees maintenance of building systems and ensures timely maintenance services across all schools.
