Job summary

Ally is seeking a Director of Software Engineering – Salesforce to lead engineering strategy and delivery of the enterprise Salesforce platform. You will partner with Product, Architecture, and Business teams to provide ownership, accountability, and outcomes across multiple Salesforce teams.

You will drive platform governance, security, and scalable solutions, overseeing budgets and capacity across onshore/offshore teams while coaching engineering managers toward high performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, technology delivery, or platform leadership.
• Experience leading engineering managers or multiple development teams.
• Significant Salesforce implementations experience in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Salesforce platform vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
• Lead multiple Salesforce engineering teams with clear delivery expectations.
• Translate priorities into scalable Salesforce capabilities and delivery plans.
• Oversee complex Salesforce programs with scope, schedule, budget and quality accountability.
• Guide architecture and design, balancing declarative and programmatic development.
• Establish engineering standards for Apex, LWC, Flow, APIs, testing, CI/CD.
• Ensure enterprise security, privacy, accessibility, and performance.
• Manage workforce planning, budgets, vendors, and offshore/onshore teams.
• Develop engineering managers and platform specialists through coaching.
• Communicate strategy and risks clearly to senior leaders.
