Position Overview
The Sales & Partnership Director will drive our company's growth strategy by developing key account relationships within the conference and event planning industry. This role will focus on establishing partnerships with meeting procurement companies, association management organizations, and direct relationships with high-volume event producers. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with relationship-building skills to achieve significant revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive outbound sales strategy to grow revenue
Build and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Establish sales targets, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that align with company growth objectives
Create forecasting models and provide regular analysis of sales performance against targets
Key Account Management
Personally manage relationships with our highest-value accounts and strategic partners
Develop and implement account growth strategies for top 20 highest-potential clients
Create customized proposals and presentations for enterprise-level clients
Negotiate complex multi-event contracts and strategic partnerships
Partnership Development
Identify and secure strategic partnerships with meeting procurement companies
Develop channel relationships with association management companies
Create partner programs that incentivize repeat business and referrals
Establish preferred vendor status with key convention centers and event venues
Industry Leadership
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
Develop thought leadership content to position our company as an industry expert
Build relationships with industry associations to enhance company visibility
Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape
Product & Service Innovation
Collaborate with operations and product teams to develop innovative badge solutions
Identify opportunities for value-added services and product line extensions
Provide market intelligence to guide product development priorities
Test and validate new offerings with key clients and partners
