About Biome

Biome Analytics helps hospitals and physicians work together to deliver the best cardiovascular care to the most patients at the lowest cost.

Our performance platform combines precision analytics, cross-network benchmarking, and AI built on more than a decade of proprietary cardiovascular clinical and financial data. Leading health systems use Biome to improve quality, reduce unwarranted variation and unnecessary cost, identify underserved patients, and grow cardiovascular programs through better outcomes.

Our client relationships are built on measurable results: logo retention exceeds 95% [confirm measurement period], and clients at leading cardiovascular programs can speak directly to Biome’s clinical and financial impact.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a senior sales and business development professional to grow Biome’s presence in the Upper Midwest and/or Northeast.

You will own new business development in your territory—from identifying priority health systems and opening executive relationships to building consensus, establishing the business case, and closing multi-year agreements. You will also work with existing medical device and professional society partners to create introductions and advance opportunities.

This role calls for someone who can create demand for a strategic investment. You understand how health systems make decisions, how physician and administrative leaders align around change, and how to turn a clinical or operational challenge into a funded priority.

Biome’s sales typically involve annual contract values above $185,000 and cycles of 8–15 months. You will work with cardiovascular service line executives, physician leaders, finance, and other stakeholders, supported by marketing, product, and our Client Transformation team.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and execute a territory strategy. Prioritize named accounts, map clinical and executive relationships, and own pipeline and bookings targets.
  • Create qualified opportunities. Generate business through direct outreach, your professional network, client referrals, industry events, and existing channel partners.
  • Lead discovery and develop the business case. Uncover each organization’s cardiovascular priorities and connect Biome’s capabilities to measurable clinical, operational, and financial value.
  • Build alignment across the buying team. Develop credible champions and engage physician leaders, service line executives, finance, IT, procurement, and executive sponsors.
  • Own the full sales process. Coordinate tailored presentations and demonstrations, navigate diligence and contracting, negotiate agreements, and close new business.
  • Activate partner relationships. Develop account-specific plans with existing partners that turn introductions into qualified opportunities.
  • Maintain sales discipline. Keep CRM records current, establish clear next steps with prospects, and provide evidence-based forecasts.
  • Set clients up for success. Partner with Client Transformation on a handoff that preserves agreed objectives, stakeholder commitments, and expectations.
  • Help shape Biome’s growth. Bring market insights and customer feedback into positioning, product priorities, and go-to-market decisions.
What You’ll Bring
  • A demonstrated record of winning complex, six-figure enterprise business with U.S. hospitals and health systems, with specific examples of quota attainment and personally sourced opportunities.
  • Experience selling healthcare analytics, clinical software, performance improvement solutions, or comparable offerings that require both clinical and financial justification.
  • The ability to earn trust with physician leaders, cardiovascular service line executives, and senior financial and administrative stakeholders.
  • Experience creating demand, building a business case, and securing funding through long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Strong discovery, executive communication, negotiation, and account-planning skills.
  • The initiative to develop your own pipeline and the judgment to engage colleagues and partners where they can advance a sale.
  • Disciplined CRM use and realistic forecasting.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%.
Especially Valuable
  • Established relationships with cardiovascular and health system leaders in the Upper Midwest and/or Northeast.
  • Understanding of cardiovascular service line operations, economics, and performance improvement.
  • Familiarity with clinical registries such as NCDR, STS, or GWTG, or with hospital cost accounting.
  • Success working alongside medical device manufacturers, professional societies, or other healthcare channel partners.
What Success Looks Like

You establish a focused territory plan, build relationships with priority accounts and partners, and develop a qualified pipeline with clear business needs, executive sponsorship, and credible paths to a decision. Over time, you convert that pipeline into new clients and meet agreed bookings goals.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary of $150-180K, plus uncapped commission with on-target earnings of $350-400K
