Job summary

Agave Ridge Behavioral Hospital is seeking an experienced Risk Director to lead our facility's risk management program and promote a culture of safety for patients, staff, and visitors. You will oversee incident investigations, drive regulatory compliance, and develop proactive strategies to prevent harm and liability across the organization.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field, 2+ years in risk management, and supervisory experience; CPR/de-escalation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical healthcare, risk management, business, finance, or related field.
• Two or more years’ experience in a risk management position.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with CARF, DEA, Joint Commission, or CMS surveys.

Responsibilities

• Implement a robust risk management program throughout the facility.
• Lead investigations and analyze actual and potential risks.
• Promote a culture of safety and incident reporting.
• Collaborate with departments to monitor compliance with laws and policies.
• Develop staff training on risk identification and mitigation.
• Coordinate with leadership to establish safety initiatives and Safe Catch Program.
• Serve as a resource for risk management, policy development, and compliance.
